Following the death of his already-widowed mother, Sean returns to his childhood home. His bootstrapped parents built those four walls and a roof from the ground up on a sprawling five-acre, mid-Ohio property with little but a pond, a few scattered neighbors, and countryside for miles. Although memories in this home abound, Sean’s sole intention now is to sell it. When he arrives, Sean is greeted by his only living blood relation: an estranged brother named Luke, who is sitting outside, drinking in the winter chill. Sean and Luke begin the overdue process of reconnecting, but shared grief, terror, and obligation catch up with the prompting of a zombie apocalypse. Every moment Sean stays, the certainty of his envisioned future wanes. The brothers are eventually forced to confront the sacrifices they are both willing to make for family. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries.
